I’ve been watching, listening, reading almost everything I can get my hands on since George Floyd died. The perspective of someone looking across the Atlantic is mostly one of confusion, horror and a deep motivation to learn more. It’s not enough to regurgitate the same lines as your other friends on instagram. It’s OK to say you don’t know the answers. Keep listening, keep learning and remember to reach outside your normal circle of friends for ideas and information, stay close to the facts and diversify your opinions. Something this horrible should unite not divide. My heart goes out to George Floyd’s family and those of the 13 other people who have died in the unrest so far
