During the lockdown my response has been to speed up: be more productive, move my coaching business online, train hard. But then I wonder if I really should be slowing down. . . If ever there were a moment to pay attention to the ordinary, surely now is the time? An unremarkable walk around the neighbourhood can interest us if we pay enough attention to the small things. I usually don't take the time to enjoy the process of cooking a new meal, relaxing in the garden or looking after the plants. . . Something I've learnt from the lockdown is that I don't have to just run faster when things get weird, it's OK to slow down and take the time to breathe, or at least just not feel guilty about being less productive.
