Turns out both are untrue because I have bought a second hand Nissan Leaf and I’m absolutely loving it. I think it might be the best purchase I’ve ever made. Wizzing around without the fumes is very satisfying and the range is enough to get me to most places I want to go on a single charge (all of the crags in our area). If you have a renewables-only energy tariff it’s also nice to know that it’s travel without using any fossil fuels, and since we charge it overnight we’re not putting much demand on the energy supply, even less of you have solar. I’m still working up to making commitments to reduce my air miles and other travel. Anyone got any cool ideas for EV or train trips?
