(Songwriters: Marvin Gaye / William Stevenson / Ivy Hunter) Recorded for Live Aid and produced by Alan Winstanley and Clive Langer, the track was released in August 1985 and entered the UK chart at #1, staying there for four weeks, with a further five weeks in the top 30. It reached #7 in the US. The chart success was helped by Bowie and @mickjagger’s remarkable video, possibly the campest duet ever committed to tape. Recorded at Spillers Millennium Mills in London with director David Mallet, Dancing In The Street was shown a couple of times at the Live Aid event in July and to promote the single released the following month. The sheet music will have been released shortly afterwards.
