In 1995, David also donated one of his artworks to the War Child charity for use as a Christmas card. The computer-generated work was untitled but would have been familiar to those who purchased the BOWIE & ENO 94 – 10 DESIGNS FOR WAR CHILD signed pack of postcards, which contained five designs each from the glam rock superstar and the ex-Roxy Music weird noises bloke. (Sorry, private joke) The version in the card set from 1994 was the other way up and titled Postropolis – 1994. The 1995 Christmas card was a kind of visual remix of it. Anyway, the message inside the 1995 card is superimposed in our montage over a 1995 image of David stood in front of his British Conflicts and The Crouch Laura Ashley wallpaper. British Conflicts features a charcoal portrait of the painter Lucien Freud, inside a Damien Hirst style box. It was also reproduced in the BOWIE & ENO 94 – 10 DESIGNS FOR WAR CHILD postcard set.
