And yet, we’re also only human and sometimes we just need something external to kickstart the feels.   The good news is that we don’t need ANY outside things to get started. We can chase the good feelings directly....from inside. From the source. It’s not only effective, it’s free.  We can now predictably engineer feelings like joy, calm, serenity, and passion simply by repeating new and different thoughts to ourselves. Our minds tend to run on autopilot, and the point of using a repetitive new phrase is to disrupt the old thought pattern and reset the default mode. It takes time and practice, but eventually, if you do it enough, you’ll start to automatically integrate the new thought patterns, resulting in a whole avalanche of more joy-filled behaviors and decisions and even physical sensations, creating a robust feedback loop for joy.
