A new study shows dramatic increase in YOUNG women being diagnosed with breast cancer. These early onset diagnosis are not caused by genetics but likely environmental exposures (ie pollutants, micro-plastics and other endocrine disrupters etc).

This is devastating because younger women are more likely to experience:

🔹 Emotional Distress: An early on-set diagnosis can feel isolating, and often slows down or disrupts career advancements and plans to marry or start a family.
🔹 Aggressive disease: Younger women are more likely to first be diagnosed with late-stage and aggressive cancer types than older women
🔹 Recurrence Risk: Young women face a higher risk of the cancer returning.
🔹 Financial Strain: The financial implications are often more severe for younger patients who have lower incomes, less savings, high-deductible plans, or no health insurance at all.

Are there any large scale epidemiology survey efforts being done to track and analyze the environmental exposures of young cancer patients over the past 15-20 years? If so, please let me know in the comments. I’d love to support these efforts.
