今日の和菓子：花菖蒲
武を重んじる「尚武（しょうぶ）」と発音が同じであることから、男の子にとって縁起の良い植物として「端午の節句」に飾られる菖蒲（しょうぶ）。そんな凛とした佇まいを模した練り切りの和菓子です。
今年のGWはおうちで和菓子でも🍵

Today's Wagashi : Iris Flower
May 5 is a Japanese National holiday ; “Boy’s Day”. Because the word for Japanese iris was pronounced thesame as the word for martial spirit (both were pronounced "shobu") and also the shape of leaves of Japanese iris remind people of swords, tango was determined as the sekku for boys and people prayed for the healthy growth of boys. This confectionary represents the flower to celebrate Boy’s Day at home.
