Almost dying taught me a lot. But the biggest lesson?
That life is a gift.
The probability of you existing is minuscule. It’s equal to the chances of 2 million people getting together – each to roll a trillion-sided dice - and they all come up the exact same number – e.g. 550,343,279,001.
Then the probability of you being born into a developed country? Even smaller. Being born with a body free of illness? Smaller still.
You are so lucky.
If that isn’t a reality check I don’t know what is. There are SO many reasons to be grateful and SO many reasons to find a little joy in every day.
You are a miracle, go out and live like it ❤️
[p.s. warning, if you swipe right it gets pretty gorey] 🥴

@zannavandijk thanks for the honest instastories. I know #ad seems like a dirty word, but when you follow someone like you, who has a consistent brand message (health, sustainability, joy), then actually a paid post is sometimes welcome. We might actually *want* to be shown what you’re promoting. I would love to see: options for product refills (body wash especially, as I feel like I use way too much plastic there unnecessarily); for various gym kit (especially the basics that we wear a million times); and anything else helpful but not overly wasteful.

Yup... life is a gift. I’m a brain cancer survivor, still have a piece of the tumour in there, even after a 13 hour operation, and serves as a reminder everyday that life is precious.
Like the scar on your tummy, I’ve got one on my head... and I’m lucky to have it. Without it, I would’ve died because it would’ve meant that the cancer & tumour was inoperable... which it very nearly was.
These types of challenges are thrown at random, and sadly some don’t make it. You and I are one of the lucky ones (even in your equation above). Thanks for sharing!

Just saw your IG story and good job! You should definitely be proud of yourself. 👏 I’ve been having GI problems myself, for couple of years now, believe it or not, and doctors still don’t know why. At the moment we are trying to rule out IBS, so we’ll see what happens. :( Listening to your story to something even more complicated, I applaude you for bravery and courage to proceed with the procedure. Thank you for encouragement and showing a strength that we can face whatever difficulty life may bring us. 🙏💆🏻♀️👏

@zannavandijk Life is gift ❤️And i agree with that.
One morning I had severe pain in my tummy. I felt like I am dying and next day I was hospitalised and came up with a cyst in my ovaries and that has to get out as soon as possible so I had open surgery.
So I can understand your pain girl.
May god bless you and may you have healthy life❤️❤️

You are so true & thank you for reminding me how lucky I am as sometimes I think you need to read words like this to stop feeling sorry for yourself & realise how lucky we actually are xx having gone through what you have & remaining so positive you truly are an inspiration 😊 x
