Those smiles! Buddhist nuns or ‘Bhikkhunī’ exude something you can’t quite put your finger on. Until you realise it’s the special combo of two things: love and wisdom. Wisdom being different from knowledge. And love being for all things not just the things that give you what you want. And both resulting in happiness. The lady on the right is called Dhammachari and she’s been at this hermitage in the robes for 39 years! I was there only 3 days ? and yet I still feel three nano steps closer to nirvana, or just a little stronger in the head or detoxed or something, just better I guess. I can’t imagine how ‘clean’ the minds of these ladies must be. #meditationtourism #bhikkhuni #miniretreat
