Today is John Lennon's birthday. This is his first album—a childhood stamp collection.
His older cousin, Stanley Parkes, inspired Lennon’s interest in stamp collecting and gave him his stamp album. It includes 565 stamps on more than 150 pages.
The stamp album is in our @nationalpostalmuseum's collection and you can see it, along with stamps honoring other legendary museums, in “John Lennon: The Green Album” through Feb. 3.
