折り畳んだ和紙の折り目や端に
染料と水を浸ける、広げると美しく鮮やかな模様が
浮かび上がる"おりぞめ”。

子供たちの遊びから芸術の作品にまで幅広く使用され、
畳み方や染み方で１つとして同じ物になることが
ありません。

『 おりぞめでは失敗作はなく〈一つの作品〉が
できるのです。
　「おりぞめ」の作品はそれぞれみんなちがいます。
ひとつとして同じものはありません。それなのに，
いや，だからみんなで「おりぞめ」をたのしめます。
　〈正しいおりぞめ〉はありません。
　〈豊かなおりぞめ〉があるのです。』

今回、そんな楽しくて美しい折り染めを教えてくれた奈良の山本先生 @orizomeguide に、特別に制作して頂いた
おりぞめ柄を使用した @officekiko と @fruitybootyunderwear のコラボレーションです🙏🏻💗

Soak the dye and water in folded Japanese paper creases and edges.
"Orizome,Ori-dyeing "that a beautiful and vivid pattern emerges when unfolded.

This is widely used from children's play to art works. None of the pattern will be the same by folding and dyeing.

“ In Ori-zome (traditional Japanese fold-dyeing), no work is considered a failure, each piece is simply appreciated for its uniqueness.

It is perhaps because every piece is entirely original and unique that makes Ori-zome so special.

There is no “correct” technique in Ori-zome, only the pleasure of the process. “

This is the collaboration between @officekiko and @fruitybootyunderwear using a specially made ori-dyed pattern by Mr. Yamamoto of Nara @orizomeguide who taught us such a fun and beautiful folding dyeing🤍
