Recently, I returned from an expedition to the stunning Azores islands. Both under and above the water, the surrounding beauty was a real boost. Here, an islet off São Miguel island is seen through the clouds of an approaching storm that would become Hurricane Lorenzo—the easternmost Category 5 Atlantic hurricane on record. In the following days, it produced the strongest recorded winds in the region during the past 20 years. #Aores #azores #hurricanelorenzo
