From May to November, the Legendary Cyphers meet every Friday night in Union Square Park. The cypher is the circle where rappers take turns at “spitting” lyrics that are improvised. There is small group of founders but more then 300 MCs have rapped here. Crowds of regulars and visitors that reach in the hundreds come to see this unique mixture of poetry, music, and improvisation. #rap #unionsquare #nyc #newyorkcity
