This is the room that landed men on the moon. After decades of deterioration, it was restored to match the iconic image long held in the American historical imagination, recalling a time when the room was the heart of the country's lunar aspirations. Every item in the Mission Control Center, which was reopened as a museum for the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing, is authentic and carefully researched from old photos. “We tracked things down on eBay, from people’s donations — whatever we could scrounge up. We did a scavenger hunt across Johnson Space Center to find things like trash cans, chairs and binders,” said Jennifer Keys, the project manager of the restoration team. I was born at 23 July 1969 .. they where flying back up that moment, preparing for landing, while I landed on earth. The funny thing is, my entire childhood was filled with memories of flying in space, very realistic memories. Probably due tv during my firsr year or so.

Its amazing NASA the camera that filmed the lunar footage produced such great footage considering it had no atmospheric protection and the "astronauts" had gloves on their hands that would have rendered them incapable of using the camera....
