Identity is complex, and the words we use to identify ourselves can give insight into our values, our personalities, our appearances and our passions. When we asked readers to tell us who they are, more than 5,000 people responded. Those who shared their self-definitions weren’t limiting their descriptions to sexuality, gender or race — they also included their communities and the unique experiences that had shaped them. Their stories are reminders that “the human experience is infinite” and the way we describe ourselves — particularly for those in the LGBTQ community — continues to evolve. Here are nine responses we received. Check out the link in our bio to read more.
