This morning we’re reflecting on former congresswoman Patricia Schroeder, the first woman US Representative elected from Colorado. She served from 1973 to 1997, sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988, and encouraged other women to run for office. Throughout her career she fiercely advocated for women's and family rights, including at this event in 1982.
