デヴィッド・ボウイさんのインスタグラム写真 - (デヴィッド・ボウイInstagram)「DAILY BOWIE THING – Day 86 “I sped from Planet X to Planet Alpha...” As you will remember, ill health forced David Bowie to reluctantly cancel the remaining fifteen concerts at the end of the 2004 leg of A Reality Tour, following what would be his last ever full show on 25th June at the Hurricane Festival at Eichenring, Scheeßel, in Germany. The majority of those cancelled shows were festival dates, but the poster in today’s montage was among the last solo shows that didn't go ahead. The image, taken by Mark Adams at the Riverside gig in Hammersmith in the UK on 8th September 2003, had been used for much of the tour’s promotion, including T shirts, tour posters, flyers, passes and even on the side of a building in Japan. But what we’d like to know is, is this the last ever Bowie concert poster produced, albeit for a show that never took place? For obvious reasons, tour scheduling was planned way in advance of the actual gigs, so it’s reasonable to think there may have been other posters and merchandise produced for some of the other cancelled shows.
