Those years together were packed with enough adventures to last a lifetime, and a lot of those adventures we shared with you online. The next adventures in our lives, however, are on separate paths. We truly had wonderful moments that we shared with each other, and shared with you all as well. At this point in our lives, though, our goals and priorities have changed, as they tend to over long periods of time, and we have found that we are just no longer following the same path. Although we’ve lived very public lives for over a decade now, that doesn’t mean we’re giving the world access to every detail. Some things we choose to remain private, within ourselves. Starting anew, beginning an entirely different life than what you’re used to, can be very rewarding and huge for personal growth, but it also can be very challenging. There are no clear guidelines on how to publicly handle a situation like ours. We’re still trying to figure things out, but we welcome anyone who wishes to follow along with our new adventures. This isn’t the end of Simon and Martina; this is a new beginning for each of us. We are so thankful for the caring response of our community and the respect many of you have shown us during this time. We’re sure you can understand how challenging this is for us both personally and professionally. The transition has been tough, but we’re both sincerely endeavouring to grow, to learn, and to keep our eyes on the horizon, with love and respect, and even excitement, for the new paths we’re on.
