Happiness always appears like it will last forever. Bliss feels eternal. But, everything changes. The highs and lows twist and turn, leaving waves of growth and change in their wake. You might only realize where you’ve been once everything has shifted. It’s often in retrospect that you see that the very moment you took for granted was indeed special, filled with its own blessings. It’s easy to miss the magic whileworrying or stressing about some uncontrollable outcome. It requires great maturity and awareness to recognize happiness as happiness, joy as joy, sadness as sadness, anger as anger, and all as impermanent. _ I have changed so much since this photo was taken that it feels like I live in a whole new galaxy. Sometimes I am embarrassed about the bad decisions I made, how I was swept away by materialism, ego, fame, and other worldly goals. But then I remember not to beat myself up about the person I was. Everything I’ve been through has lead me here, to a place of peace filled with a joyful kindness I never imagined possible. Where I’ve been does not define where I am, where I am is not where I’m going. And yet, I am here, whole, complete, going nowhere and everywhere, same, same, but oh so different. _ Spent the day filming for @omstarsofficial and feeling so grateful for the amazing community of yogis who support my vision for an online yoga channel.
