🏯Golden mythical creatures called kinshachi are said to protect Nagoya Castle from fire. They adorn the beautiful green copper roof of this Nagoya landmark which was initially built in the early 1600’s by the first Shogun of Japan’s Edo period, Tokugawa Ieyasu. Japan's third unifier, he ushered in more than 250 years of peace across the country. 🗾
