Looks like a tiny lime, but it is a Japanese citrus called Sudachi. It’s tart, but not super sour. Fresh udon noodles are cooked then rinsed until cool. They’re served in a light, chilled dashi broth. The sudachi is thinly sliced and placed on top to create a clean and refreshing, slightly sour broth 💚 Sudachi Udon is only available briefly in the summertime and it is super refreshing. Does your country have anything like #sudachiudon #すだちうどん

I am from Pakistan and we have looooads of summer foods/drinks. First off, LASSI!! ( Made with yogurt, water, sugar or salt, and ICE). Gannay ka russ (sugarcane juice), falooda (icecream, jelly, vermecelli noodles, and fruits), shikanji (lemonade), rooh afza or jameshirin (these are brands of rosewater and sugar concentrate we mix a bit of it in either milk or water to get that insanely sweet and rosey taste).

In Ecuador we have ceviche which is a cold citrus broad with tomato, onion and shrimps. It is similar to the one made in Peru but with more variety (mixture of other sea food). Mainly served on coast cities but a delight during summer on the hole country. I don't know of there is any Ecuadorian food restaurant in Tokyo area but if you can you should try it!

Nob, not in Iceland, the weather never gets so hot that you have to cool down with food, you just walk a small distance and you have freezing cold wind from the Atlantic😅 but wouldn’t it be good to have that much heat once in a while, then we could enjoy something refreshing. Even the ice cream we eat all year round, not just in summer

The only thing I can think that is available for a short time in NZ are feijoas 😄. Tasty fruit which a lot of NZ people grow instead of buy cause they are expensive and sour if your buy them. They are ready when they fall from trees.

Too bad I didn't find these when I was in Japan last month, better luck next time. I don't believe the Netherlands have cold soups for the summer, maybe because the usual summers are quite mild.
