NECK + SHOULDER STRETCHES ✨😌✨ Perfect recovery after sitting at a desk all day OR even if you want to fix poor posture or headaches/migraines 🙌🏼
👉🏼 Hold each position for 10 longs deep breaths
1. HEAD ROLLS
Start s.l.o.w.l.y...inhale, when you head is tilted to the side, exhale, when you drop chin to chest.
2. NECK (TRAPEZIUS) STRETCH
Reach one arm out and press palm down to the ground. Use opposite hand to apply LIGHT pressure. TIP! >> for the last 3 breaths drop chin closer to chest to get a deeper stretch towards back of the neck.
3. LYING PEC STRETCH
Start with arms in ‘cactus’ position then slide elbows up about 10cm. Use the weight of your top leg to reach back and twist further. TIP! >> lift your free arm up to the sky for a deeper stretch.
4. SHOULDER STRETCH
On every exhale, aim to press armpits towards the ground. TIP! >> for last 3 breaths look up towards hands.
5. DEEP SHOULDER STRETCH
Keep hands in ‘prayer’ and try to sink your head under your shoulder line.
6. SEATED PEC STRETCH
*Do this cross legged if you can’t keep your legs straight. Aim to straighten your arms behind you while your LIFT UP with your chest (don’t let yourself sink!).
