Capable of diving down to 7,000 feet to feed on squid, they hunt in the dark and are led by their ability to echolocate. In the vast, dark realm of the deep sea, their senses are perfectly suited to survive. Today a stable population of sperm whales lives year-round near Dominica, where whale watching from daily cruise ships visiting the island is an important source of revenue.
