We each see ourselves in different ways, pretty, ugly, fat, skinny; it is that self-image that can be devastating. In some cases, the self-image that we have may not be the image that anyone else sees, but us. This is called self-loathing, we want to be like everyone else and don’t see the beauty within ourselves. Other times, how we see ourselves is based on what others say and think of us. What we need to realize is that we hold the power to overcome those obstacles, to achieve dreams and to become the best version of ourselves that we can be. The power is within each and every one of us, we hold the power to control the direction of our lives. We hold the power to push past that negative self-image and make it positive. Don’t give that power to anyone else, don’t let anyone be the driving force in what you try to achieve in life and how you see yourself in this life. Take control and tell yourself that you are beautiful, unique and wonderful, because you have the power to be all of those things and more.
