I recently read a @ニューヨーク・タイムズ article about mothers, before they were mothers. We have this image of 'Mom' we've known our whole lives, but Mom had a whole life before us. As I've gotten older I've come to appreciate the complexities of this amazing woman. She is my Mom: supporting, fighting for, disciplining, and influencing me with a love so fierce that I feel it in my soul. She is also a daughter, a journalist, a counselor, a mentor. She has traveled across the globe, felt the sweetest joy and the most bitter pain. She is a perfectly imperfect, brave soul trying to navigate the waters of life. Just as we all are. You are so much more than my Mom, @christinegluke. I want to keep learning from and appreciating the woman that you were, that you are, and that you will be. I love you so much ❤️ ?
