Ankle diagnosis: unsure, but definitely unusable ? I got really excited after finishing Finals Problem #1 at yesterday's @cruxcc Send It Fest. I remember turning towards the crowd, a huge grin on my face, and jumping off with abandon. I broke my own rule; I didn't look down. The pads came up fast and my right foot, in ballerina pointe position, hit them hard before folding forward and underneath. I knew something was wrong when my ankle felt heavy and numb. I cried while the paramedics wrapped me up... not from the pain, but because of how frustrated I felt. With all of my falling 'expertise', I still made a mistake. I took my experiences for granted and let my guard down at a critical moment. To be honest, I feel embarrassed... I should have known better. But I also know shit happens and it's been awhile since I've had an injury, so... I was basically due for one, right?? ? I know positive things will come from this, but bottom line: it sucks and I wish it didn't happen. In spite of it, I'm thankful to have been surrounded by friends. Shoutout to the awesome people at @cruxcc for taking care of me; the paramedic team Tyler and Karen, Clara for the crutches, @goradia_i_am for the whiskey drinks ?
