On April 26, 1986 the nuclear accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant contaminated thousands of square miles, forcing 150,000 inhabitants of the zone to hastily flee their homes. In the villages all over the Exclusion Zone, the small abandoned wooden houses are falling apart. While nature is taking over, the area will be unfit for human habitation for generations to come.
