Photograph taken by @christianziegler. I collected these seeds and fruits on Barro Colorado Island/ Panama in June to illustrate the dispersal modes of the forest plants. More then 3/4 of the tree species are animal dispersed, the rest are dispersed by wind, mainly during the dry season when the trade winds blow across Panama. @thephotosociety @natgeocreative #conservation #ecology #BarroColoradoIsland #Panama
