Images from the Apollo 11 @NASA mission appeared on the front pages of newspapers for weeks during the summer of 1969: astronauts planting the American flag on the moon, smiling into the camera inside the spacecraft, conducting experiments, and, of course, images of the crater-filled, eerie lunar landscape. MoMA's department of photography has just added 51 historic NASA images from Apollo missions 11, 12, and 15, three successful, manned lunar missions to the #MoMACollection.
