帰国してすぐに＜サントリー1万人の第九＞の稽古に取り掛かりました。
本番前日に1万人の合唱全員でリハーサルをするのですが、その前段階でとても重要なのが、1000人ほどの単位で僕が直接指導する「佐渡練」と呼ばれている稽古です。ベートーヴェンは何を考えてこの壮大な交響曲を書いたのか、1万人で作るこのコンサートの意義は、などを僕が参加者に直接語ります。
25年前に初めて佐渡練の東京クラスを指導した時は参加者は80名程のでしたが、今は東京だけで1000人を超え、今年はなんと全47都道府県から集まります。

ところが関西に移動した後、急に寒気を感じ出しました。翌朝目覚めると体がボーッとしているので、一応体温を測ってみると、なんと40℃を超えている😱解熱剤を飲んでも39℃台。
めったに風邪をひかず、体力だけが取り柄の僕ですが、これは流石にコロナかインフルエンザだろうと、すぐにお医者様に診ていただきました。結果はどちらも陰性。極度の疲労から来る風邪でしょう、ということだったので少し安心しましたが、尼崎で行われた2回分3000人の皆さんの佐渡練をお休みさせてもらうことにしました。楽しみにしてくださっていた皆さん、本当にごめんなさい🙇‍♀️
誰よりもこの佐渡練を大事にしている僕としては、本当に悔しい思いでしたが、 1週間後に控えている本番の為にしっかり回復させようと、苦渋の決断でした。熱はその晩には37℃台に下がり、次の日の佐渡練（3回分）はしっかり行うことができましたのでどうぞご安心ください。

Right after back to JapanI started rehearsals for the "Beethoven's 9th with a Cast of 10,000”.
The day before the concert, we have a rehearsal with 10,000 chorus members, but before that, we have the important training called "Sado-ren” in which I directly in a group of about 1,000 members.
When I trained the Tokyo class for the first time 25 years ago, there were about 80 participants, but now there are over 1,000 only in Tokyo.
However, when I moved to Kansai, I started to feel a chill. The next morning, I found my temperature was over 40℃😱 and even after taking a fever reducer, it was still in the 39 ℃ range.
I rarely catch a cold or have a high fever, but I thought it must be COVID-19 or influenza, so I went to see a doctor immediately. The results were both negative. I was relieved to hear that it was probably just a cold caused by extreme fatigue. However, I have decided to cancel the two Sado-ren in Amagasaki for 3,000 participants, taking care of my health. I was really sorry to all of you who were looking forward to it. 🙇‍♀️
As I cherish this training session more than anyone else, I was disappointed, but I made a hard decision to recover now for the concert that was coming up a week later. My fever went down to 37℃ that night, and I was able to do the next day's Sado-ren training (3 sessions), so please rest assured.
