Shooting what happens now with classic gear is interesting — such retrospective images are given. They are digital (not film)! Such a classic look of what I saw in prints in my childhood, but everyone in the photos wears mask and holds smartphone. Since I shoot with this cam and old lens, the photos got some "successiveness" with the old intuitive photos of mine, and some photos of me in childhood taken by my parents, etc.. I feel like that I as a child am affirmed now. I feel like I want to tell me in childhood how that child's hustle is connected to what I am now.
今この場で起きていることを、昔の機材で撮ってみる。進化する前の手法で撮ると、レトロな写りをするからおもしろい。デジタルなのに。こんな子どもの頃見たような写りをするのに、みんなマスクしてスマホ持って歩いてる。このカメラと古いレンズで撮るようになってから、昔撮った何気なく撮った写真だけじゃなくて、親が撮った小さい自分の写真とかとの連続性ができて、なんか昔の自分を肯定されているような気分だ。そうか、あの時の自分はこういう形で今とつながるんだ、というのを、過去の自分に伝えてあげたくなるような感じがするのだ。
