Some functions of photography for myself lately:
- To document what’s happening in front of myself.
- To capsulate and archive my feelings as memory with click and edit (and print).
- To be an accessible trigger to remind, warp to that scene in mind anytime at a glance.
- To grow beautification of what I experienced, whichever good or bad, with passage of time
.
Those are the keys for my life with photography since I switched the main approach of facing myself to it from image making for some forms of appeal as media content, to documenting and archiving my memories that are to be overflown and disappearing without efforts by upcoming excitements.

And in fact, the reasons to appreciate those functions often drive me into the physical movement for collecting pieces to keep as visual cards. (I’m obsessed with remote shutter too nowadays so I'm in it for sure)

Also I’m given a cover image for each album. Many photographs are private and saved in color, but the cover image that is a clue to embrace sometimes is better to be monochromatic. I can get them lined up as many as possible with singularly flattened and neatly organized in my shelf in mind.
