The works in this exhibition are architectural structures drawn in perspective and distorted into two-dimensional forms (and vice versa, with some works sculpting two-dimensional structures so that they can stand on their own). The exhibition venue, Shibuya, is in the middle of a redevelopment project that is said to take place only once every 100 years, and the sound of steel-frame construction can be heard everywhere. Therefore, this exhibition pursues structural beauty with the keyword 'Structure' as its subject, which symbolises the ever-changing Shibuya and Ota Kiyoo's artist's vision. There is an interesting contrast between solid works that give a sense of mass with the inside of the structure filled in, and wire-frame type works that use only the frame lines of the structure as their structure. 　The works are modelled in nylon material using an HP 3D printer. The surface is then finished with different materials such as carbon, stainless steel and aluminium to match the individuality of the work. 渋谷「ONBEAT」編集部に隣接する現代アートに特化したYUGEN GALLERY。直前には牧かほりさんの個展を開催するなど、注目の展覧会も増えているが、今回、最終日の案内にはなるが、ギリギリ会期中に紹介できそうなので、こちらの展覧会の情報を優先的に紹介する（記事化できていない展覧会が10以上溜まって、困っているので説明は短めにします）。オオタキヨオは、大学で建築を学んだ後、外資系投資銀行勤務を経て、現在は、社会の構造や関係性をテーマに創作活動を行う彫刻家。今回の作品群は遠近法で描いた建築的構造を、平面的に歪めて造形（その逆の平面的な構造を自立するように立体化した作品もある）。展覧会場の渋谷は100年に1度と言われる再開発の真っただ中であり、いたるところで鉄骨を組む建築工事の音が聞こえている。そこで本展では、変化し続ける渋谷の姿とオオタキヨオの作家性を象徴するキーワード「Structure（構造）」を主題に構造美を追求。構造の内側が詰まったマスを感じさせるソリッドな作品と、その枠線だけを構造にしたワイヤーフレーム型の作品の対比が面白い。　作品はHP社製の３Dプリンターを用いてナイロン素材で造形。その上で作品の個性に合わせてカーボンやステンレス、アルミなど異なる素材で表面仕上げをしている。　「ブレイク前夜」でも紹介されたというオオタキヨオ。この後も展覧会出品は続いているが、そのほとんどはグループ展。個展でこれだけの作品を見られる機会はしばらくない。ぜひ、６月２日（木）の最終日に駆け込んで欲しい。そして可能なら、いずれ渋谷の街に大型化した作品をパブリックアートなどとしてインストールして欲しい。 @otakiyoo @yugengallery.tokyo」6月2日 0時11分
