This is exactly what it’s like opening a parcel from Moneeza at @lotusblubookart where her attention and care down to every last detail is a gift within a gift, and an art form in and of itself might I add. In a season much longer than nine months for me where getting back to the bare bones of things have been a theme, genuine kindness offered without strings or angles or unsavory whispers behind screens has become something I very much value and notice. In a time where we’re all stretched thin, sincerity of heart is cherished all the more. All that to say, it has taken me over a week to open this package as I just wanted to sit with the beauty of it for awhile. Some things just need to be savoured and not rushed. Can you relate? . So within this treasure a few other treasures, namely a glass and copper trim keepsake box to house the Ajrak River Earth Journal that I was extremely fortunate to have scooped up over the summer (as any @lotusblubookart update sells out in a literal blink). Also tucked is an exquisite Indigo Blues Bundled Curio of pocket sized grey cotton rag loose leaf paper, which was beautifully wrapped in antique cloth (I can’t wait to see what new things this inspires). And last but not least a packet of Storyteller stickers (!!!) amidst dried lavender. . What a way to greet the new year ahead. I’m at a loss for words for how ethereal and lovely each detail and item is. I made a little unboxing stop motion (swipe left!) with a cameo of the wild ponies who seem to especially adore @lotusblubookart work as do I.
