「ハレとケをつなぐ、太陽と月。」

世界中のどこにいても、どんな日でも、そして誰にとっても。
太陽と月は一年365日、私たちの頭上に広がっています。
それは、ハレとケをつなぐ、不変なもの。

そんな太陽と月を、金箔と銀箔の丸紋であらわしたお椀「日月椀」があります。
生みの親は、かの芸術家・北大路魯山人。
料理家や陶芸家など、さまざまな顔をもつ魯山人の代表作であるこの「日月碗」から着想を得て、中川政七商店のお椀をつくりました。

福井県鯖江市の「漆琳堂」が手掛けた漆塗りのお椀に、金箔の産地として知られる石川県金沢市の金箔を施しました。
「切り廻し」と呼ばれる細かい箔を施すことで、濃淡のある味わい深い表情を演出しています。

新年にふさわしい器として。
いつもの暮らしに彩を添える器として。

きっと、2021年に明るい光をもたらしてくれるはずです。

"The sun and the moon, connecting Hare and Keh.“

No matter where you are in the world, on any given day, or for anyone.
The sun and the moon are above our heads 365 days a year.
They are unchanging things that connect Hare and Keh, Sacred and Secular.

There is a bowl that represents such sun and moon with gold and silver foil circles.
The creator of this bowl is the famous Kitaoji Rosanjin.
We make the bowls inspired by his masterpiece, the "Sun and Moon Bowl," which has many faces, including chef and potter.

The bowls are lacquered by Shitsurindo in Sabae, and covered with gold leaf from Kanazawa, which is known for its gold leaf.
The gold leaf is produced in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, which is known for its gold leaf.

It is a suitable vessel for the New Year.
As a vessel to add color to your daily life.

It is sure to bring a bright light to the year 2021.
