Feeling super-stressed *all the time*? Unfortunately, you can't avoid all nerve-racking situations, but there is a way to make them easier to handle. The key: Make a plan. “We do some of our worst thinking when we're stressed,” explains neuroscientist Daniel Levitin. That's why he advocates for everyone to write up what he calls a "pre-mortem" — a list of the things, big and small, that could possibly go wrong. "We all are going to fail now and then," he says. "The idea is to think ahead to what those failures might be, to put systems in place that will help minimize the damage or to prevent the bad things from happening in the first place."
