When Madrid-based designer @isabellopezquesada discovered that Hollywood legend Ava Gardner's former apartment was on the market, she was quick to show the home to her clients. Although they weren't in love with the home's layout or the small bedrooms, they saw the potential and bought it. Lopez-Quesada began by making some major alterations to the floor plan: One of the former reception rooms on the lower level became the main bedroom (pictured), complete with a sunlit walk-in closet. The upper level now has bedrooms for the children, plus a family room that opens onto the sprawling terrace.
