クリス・ハートさんのインスタグラム写真 - (クリス・ハートInstagram)「It’s hard to describe to people what it means to grow up and rarely see heroes that look like you. It’s hard to be optimistic and hold a dream when even your heroes are marginalized. When the heroes you see are locked into a box of being “hero of the hood”, or they are sidekicks and just token attempts at appearing progressive. I grew up “other”. Always other. It was hard to see anyone that looked like me to give me an idea of which way to go. I would take bits and pieces from here and there, but to find a symbol of excellence that stood on its own, separate from the chains of a complex social reality was hard.
I didn’t get to see that hero until I was in my 30s. A hero. A king. On the big screen as a part of a massive series of big budget films. The community rolled out to see our first independent hero tell a story that meant something to all of us. The story told us about the “what if”. What if we could have made our own history? What if we could have kept our own culture? What if we were still together, in a community, navigating the world untouched by the complexities of history? I was SO PROUD to see that movie. I was so proud to know I could show this movie to my kids. The man that brought that character to life is no longer with us. He has a body of work that exceeds just that one movie. Still, for all of the entertainment he has given, and the incredible work he has done, I feel he should also be celebrated for bringing to life a new fire in the hearts of the community. For giving us that dream and letting us see hope on the big screen. R.I.P. Chadwick. We walk on, from the footsteps you left us. I hope we’ll get closer to bringing that dream to reality. #RIP #chadwickboseman #Hero #King #Hope #Inspiration #WalkWithUs」8月29日 11時55分 - chrishart_official
