Happy Global Climbing Day:) In celebration of this wonderful sport, i wanted to focus on finding a way to help foster a more accessible, welcoming and supportive space so people from all walks of life feel a sense of belonging in this community. I’m ecstatic to announce the @allriseclimbing project that has come to fruition. ALL RISE is a new project from @wearebraindead , @long_beach_rising and myself, aiming to create opportunities for kids of all financial backgrounds to experience the joys of climbing. With the support from @evolv_worldwide , @ザ・ノースフェイス and @vertical_solutions solutions, we are building a section of Long Beach Rising that will be dedicated for kids in the local neighborhood to have free access to climbing by working with the surrounding schools and the Boys and Girls Club. We will offer continual free entry to those who are interested to explore the world of climbing, create job opportunities for teens who’d like to share their passion with the younger generation, and potentially, this program will be a framework for gyms in other locations to partner with their local Boys and Girls club organizations. ALL RISE is not just about climbing, we hope to use this as a spearhead to address issues of unequal access in other facets of the outdoor industry.
