They don’t have the freedom of choice, they are not protected by the society they live in, and when they do choose to stand up for themselves there are severe repercussions. And in some societies those repercussions can even cost them their life. It is so shocking how a human being can treat another human being so badly and how little value is placed on the life of woman. As men and women, it is important for us to know what is going on and for us to do our part. Which is to be aware of what is happening to women around the world and in our own community. What a world it would be if we placed value on ALL women regardless of status, geography, or heritage. I’m grateful for the freedom to stand up for myself and for the tribe that gives me unconditional love and support.
