A hen Indochinese green peafowl strikes a pose for the camera during a photoshoot @accb_cambodia. Also known as dragonbird, the green peafowl is a powerful flyer, capable of covering long distances as they travel from their nesting sites deep in the forest to feeding sites in marsh pastures along riverbanks. Their diet consists mainly of seeds, insects, reptiles, fruits and small animals, and is also known for hunting venomous snakes. The Angkor Center for Conservation of Biodiversity, where this photo was taken, aims to rescue and care for native Cambodian wildlife, rehabilitating species in their care with the goal of one day releasing these individuals back into the wild. #peafowl #greenpeafowl #Indochinese #hen #colorful #dragonbird #ACCB #PhotoArk #savetogether
