Bob Ross once told The New York Times that he created more than 30,000 paintings during his lifetime. But where are they? We went in search of a collection that could be worth millions. Watch our Instagram story and visit the link in our bio to see us solve the mystery. @ekrhyne shot and edited this video, which was produced by @ekrhyne, @larrybuch, @amarcusbyrd and Alicia DeSantis.

A TV and now even internet / meme celebrity that showed everyone how easy it was to play around with paint and do nice things (albeit with zero meaning or artistic value), and overall nice and wholesome bloke? Absolutely. A painter, and one of the most iconic ones of the 20th century at that? Nah ?

Do some research. He wasn’t just a talented painter. Retired military. He’s awesome. Even as a kid I liked watching him paint. Amazing what he could do on canvas.
