Kanlaya’s home is out at Taronga Western Plains Zooga Western Plains Zoo, she spends her days out on exhibit playing with Sabai their older male calf, or attempting to steal whatever her mother Porntip is eating! One year on and Kanlaya has continued to go from strength to strength with an estimated weight of 500kg. The interaction between Kanlaya and Sabai is very enriching for both of them and is important for their development. She continues to be strong, confident and brings everyone out at Dubbo a lot of happiness! Taronga’s Asian Elephant conservation breeding program is proudly supported by ANZ.
