Notably, Skip was the pioneering seal released and tracked through this initiative. Fast forward to today, and we’re thrilled to announce that a total of four seals have undergone rehabilitation and been successfully released.   In the photo above, meet Narrang, a resilient female Long-nosed Fur Seal that spent months at the Taronga Wildlife Hospital after being found on Newport Beach lethargic and with evidence of Cookiecutter Shark bites. Narrang was released just outside Sydney Heads in September. She made a beeline for a known colony of Fur Seals near Barrenjoey.  As we approach the summer months, keep your eyes peeled for Narrang! If you’re lucky, you might spot her lounging on the rocks near the lighthouse 🌞🏞️  The Seabirds to Seascapes project is led by the @nswenvironmedia @nswnationalparkes, @syd_marine_science and the Sydney Institute of Marine Science (SIMS) and Taronga, funded by the NSW Environmental Trust.
