#ExhibitionforNotreDame: One of Y.Z. Kami’s "Dome" paintings features in “An Exhibition for Notre-Dame,” now on view at Gagosian, Paris.

Comprised of concentric circles of tessellated marks, the “Dome” paintings seem to expand and contract, asserting geometric approximations of their own. In a recent piece for Gagosian Quarterly, Angela Brown discusses the influence of Blaise Pascal, the seventeenth-century mathematician and philosopher, on these works.
