#ArtBasel: Tom Wesselmann’s “ Study for Seascape Face” is featured in our booth at Art Basel.

This 1978 work is a painted study for one of five prints in Wesselmann’s “Seascape” portfolio. These prints summarize themes featured in the artist’s “Seascape” series, which he began in 1965, following a vacation to Cape Cod with his wife, Claire: a topless woman, a breast, an erect penis, a single foot, and this work, the face of a made-up woman lying on a beach.
