Why is everyone so excited? We just finished watching a preview for the show and the level of pacific island heart and humour was through the roof!
Pacific Islanders have been inundated with low quality imported “ seconds level” food for decades. Yep, certain foods not fit for consumption on western shelves are sent to our shores for our kids and fanau to consume. This has been one of the main reasons for many NCDs such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease amongst our people leading to early death. The show which airs this month shows traditional ways of cooking delicious and healthy food as it has teams from the pacific competing against each other! It will show the people just how healthy their own locally sourced food can be while providing menu ideas from all over the pacific.
This is a game changer for our people
as teams represent many ethnicities and cultures which is rarely seen in such a high level production.
This will be a super entertaining view for all.
