One of the most unique hand carvings I've ever seen, made from Cordia wood with beautiful detail. Part of the fun is the negotiation process which I actually enjoy ( don't worry I went extremely easy 😉) I did however end up losing some of my Olympic and games gear in the deal which he was extremely thankful for, all part of the fun ! The carver hit me with a one-two combo by asking for a picture with all of us amd with his young daughter. We went back to the hotel to get the cash for the Turtle while he organised the quarantine approval. What he doesn't know yet is that thanks to coach Paul and his Daughter Angel's suggestion we were able to get out some extra cash to help pay for his daughters school fees for a year or two. ( Not assuming for a second he can't or doesn't do this himself) we just know how hard life can be in the Pacific! So tomorrow we will pick up this beautiful Turtle and hopefully surprise him with a little extra schooling donation. Thank you to @angel_s.tapa and @master_sitapa for helping out.
