As we countdown the final few days until Christmas, I’ll be showcasing a few members of the Photo Ark that are symbols of the holiday season around the globe. First up is one of the best-known Christmas icons – the reindeer! The modern day connection between reindeer and Christmas is believed to have first come about in the 19th century through the poem ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’ by Clement Clarke Moore. Rudolph, the most famous reindeer of all, didn’t come to life until much later when a department store employee, Robert L.
